Curriculum Topics
Year 5 CSI Workshop
Year 5 had a fantastic time participating in a CSI workshop. They discovered how to analyse fingerprints and footprints, how to analyse fibres from clothing, and how to use a range of equipment used within the field of forensic science. In the afternoon they dressed in full SOCO suits to use their newly acquired skills and knowledge to solve a 'murder'. Everyone had a very enjoyable and engaging day!

Year 5's trip to the National Space Centre
Year 5 classes participated in a live question and answer session with Helen Sharman. Helen was the first British astronaut in space (and also female!) There was also an astronaut in training on the video call who was speaking live from the Saxavord Space Port in the Shetland Isles. The children were able to submit questions to be answered and really enjoyed listening to the facts and stories that a 'real' astronaut had to share.
